The South Atlantic Conference announced its Volleyball Players of the Week for matches played during the third week of the 2022 season. Wingate setter Shannon Kasprak was tabbed as the Offensive Player of the Week, while Wingate middle blocker Emily Johnson was named the Defensive Player of the Week.

Kasprak, a graduate student from Austin, Texas, led the Bulldogs to a 3-0 record last week with wins over Coker (3-0), Anderson (3-1), and Newberry (3-1). She averaged 9.64 assists, 2.64 digs, 1.55 kills, and 1.18 blocks per set for the week, while adding four service aces and a .382 hitting percentage. She racked up 106 assists, with 17 kills, 29 digs, and 13 total blocks.

Johnson, a freshman from Fort Collins, Colo., also had a very impressive week for the Bulldogs as she had 16 total blocks, seven digs, eight service aces, 16 kills, and a .293 hitting percentage. For the week she averaged 1.45 blocks and 1.45 kills per set.
